Here are six homemade kitten formulas that you can quickly prepare in emergencies:

1. Homemade Kitten Formula #1

Ingredients:
  • 32 ounces whole goat’s milk
  • One egg yolk (no whites)
  • One tablespoon plain non-fat yogurt (preferably goat’s milk)
  • One teaspoon light Karo syrup
  • Knox unflavored gelatin (dosage below): Newborn to 1 week — 1 envelope,  2nd week — 1 1/2 envelope, 3rd week — 2 1/2 envelopes, 4th week — 4 envelopes
Instructions:
  • Pour goat’s milk in a pan.
  • Based on the recommended dosage, add Knox gelatin into the milk.
  • Heat the formula until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  • Remove the pan from heat.
  • Add the remaining ingredients into the mixture and mix well.
